Spring 2012 Rehearsal Schedule

  • Tuesday, Jan. 31, RVHS - 6:00 - 8:30 pm   (Audition date for new members)
  • Tuesday, Feb. 7, RVHS - 6:00 - 8:30 pm       
  • Thursday, Feb. 9, RVHS - 6:00 - 8:30 pm     
  • Friday, Feb. 10, RVHS - 6:00 - 8:30 pm        
  • Saturday, Feb. 11, RVHS 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (breaks and lunch within)
  • Saturday, Feb. 11 Concert  RVHS  5:00pm

Cost $15.00 and Contract DUE by First Rehearsal Jan. 31.

The $15.00 fee includes snacks for the rehearsals, breakfast on Saturday Morning, and Lunch on Saturday.

Guest Conductor - Alex Spainhour

Alex Spainhour was born February 28, 1947, in Richmond, Virginia. The family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1949. He began study of the piano under the tutelage of his mother at the age of five. He began the study of the violin in the fifth grade in the public school orchestra program and studied privately with the late Dr. Robert Snyder. In 1969, Mr. Spainhour received a BA in music from Florida Presbyterian College (now Eckerd College), studying with Thomas and Eleanor Briccetti; in 1972, he received an M.M. in performance from Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis), again studying with Dr. Robert Snyder.
