Fair Share/ Fundraising
When we add up the basic costs of the Awards Banquet cost, Senior Gifts, Music Camp Scholarships, Region and All-State fees, Concert Programs, and travel costs for our students and divide this sum by the number of students in our program, the result is $50 per student (Fair Share). This does not include purchasing instruments for our growing program or costs for the big field trips. All orchestra members are expected to help in fundraising their fair share. We simply cannot have the type of program we desire with district funds alone. It is important that students do their fair share by participating and turning money in on time. Fair Share is $50 per person which can be raised through fundraising opportunities.
Additional expenses that will occur at the beginning of the year (approximate costs) include Orchestra T-Shirt ($10), Orchestra Uniform ($55 men, $65 ladies).
